  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted
  • 1/4 cup granulated sugar
  • 3 (8 oz) packages cream cheese, softened
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 3 large eggs
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 cup heavy cream

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 325°F (163°C) to ensure it reaches the right temperature by the time your cheesecake is ready to bake.
  2. Combine the graham cracker crumbs, melted butter, and 1/4 cup sugar in a medium bowl until it resembles wet sand; press it into the bottom of a 9-inch springform pan.
  3. Beat the softened cream cheese with 1 cup of sugar in a large mixing bowl until smooth and creamy.
  4. Add the eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition.
  5. Stir in the vanilla extract and mix until everything is combined.
  6. Pour the cream cheese mixture over the crust in the springform pan.
  7. Bake for 50-60 minutes or until the center is set but still slightly jiggles.
  8. Remove from the oven and let cool to room temperature, then chill in the fridge thoroughly.
  9. Whip the heavy cream in a separate bowl until soft peaks form.
  10. Spread the whipped cream over the cooled cheesecake, piping for elegance if desired.
  11. Chill in the refrigerator for at least 240 minutes for flavors to meld.
